Rev. Gordon Woolard & Marilyn Woolard
Shepherding Care & Ministry Team Leaders
What gets you excited about the role you serve in at JOAN?
We are excited that after fifty years of vocational ministry, we are able to draw on experiences in many areas for our service within JOAN. We get to share and pray with others in their joys and struggles.
What is one word or phrase you'd use to describe what makes Joy of All Nations unique and be a church people would want to come to? Gordon: A blended community of God's children. Marilyn: Joy of All Nations reflects both the diversity of our ethnic backgrounds and our essential unity in Christ.
If you could meet one person, living or dead, real or fictional, and have a conversation with them, who would you meet and what would you talk about? Gordon: I would love to have a conversation with C S Lewis about the role of the imagination in the Christian life.
Marilyn: I would like to talk with Rose Marie Miller, a faithful believer in her 90's, about remaining steadfast as we age.
If you could only eat one dish for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Gordon: French toast.
Marilyn: A grilled cheese sandwich.
